Description
The WRC DES Carbon helmet is formed in the same way as the WRC DES FIA 8860 model. It uses a Carbon/Kevlar mix resulting in a lighter helmet carrying FIA 8859 certification.
Features;
- The integrated microphone boom gives a secure location for communications equipment, and forward impact protection as well.
- Noise Attenuating Earmuffs provide a significantly quieter environment for the driver.
- Pressure on the head can be adjusted by replacing the foam rubber pads placed between the earmuff and the helmet.
- The WRC DES is fitted with an easily adjustable microphone mounting system. When purchased with electronics, the microphone comes with 4 x 5mm spacers to be used to achieve the perfect microphone placement.
- Integrated Electronics Plug positioned far enough away from the HANS post anchor to make use of the jack trouble free even when a FHR is worn. The wiring is positioned safely and conveniently behind the padding. There are no hanging wires in the helmet, everything stays put where it is supposed to be.
- EPS Cheek Pads provide the best in lateral crash safety, while retaining the functionality of the earmuffs.
- FHR Posts – M6 nuts integrated into helmet shell for interfacing with Head and Neck Restraints.*
