These new Hybrid/HANS quick-release helmet anchors are much lighter and lower-profile than the original “Quick Click” anchors used by many frontal head restraint (FHR) manufacturers.
Each anchor has a fully-enclosed spring-loaded pin that retracts when you pull the attached lanyard. The FHR tether (sold separately) has a twisted metal end tab with a small round hole to accept the pin.
This anchor set includes two anchors with tethers, two M6 mounting screws, and two nutwashers (enough for one helmet). The tethers have hook-and-loop material at the free end. Mount the self-stick hook-and-loop tape (provided) to your helmet to keep the tethers out of the way.
When mounted to a SAH2010, SA2015, FIA 8858-2010, or FIA 8859-approved helmet (with threaded inserts already in the shell), these anchors are SFI 38.1 and FIA 8858-2010 approved.
When mounted using the nutwashers, they are SFI 38.1 approved.
